Project Description

Selective removal and replacement of deteriorated Portland cement concrete (including street and alley) and Asphalt concrete pavement (including street and alley); the grading and preparation of the sub grade; selective removal ,repair and reconstruction of damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, cross gutters, and alley aprons; remodeling of roof drains; curb ramp modification and reconstruction  to meet the ADA guidelines requirements; Installation of permeable concrete gutter and new asphalt concrete pavement; installation of striping, pavement marking and signage.

 Project Location

The project location is in Maintenance District 4,5, and 7 for ADA Curb Ramp Installation and Sidewalk Repair Program. The project location for Concrete Pavement Repair is in various districts across the City. Please click here to see attached project location map.

Scope of Work

The scope of the work for this project generally includes:

  • Selective removal/reconstruction/surface plane of deteriorated pavement and placement of Portland cement concrete pavement
  • Selective removal, repair and reconstruction of damaged curbs, gutters, sidewalks, driveways, cross gutters, and alley aprons, including disposal of asphalt and Portland cement concrete pavements
  • Curb ramp modification and reconstruction to meet the ADA guidelines requirements
  • Remodeling of curb drains.

Phase

The Project is completed.

Construction Schedule

Construction is tentatively scheduled from October 2023 to end of June 2024 barring any unforeseen circumstances.

Construction Updates

The resurfacing of Parking Lot at Fire Station 23, Sidewalk repairs on Honolulu Avenue in the Montrose Business District and repairs to some concrete streets is complete. 
 
The contractor is currently performing sidewalk repairs and ADA improvements at various areas of Maintenance District no. 4, 5 and 7. 

Traffic Impacts

During the repair of the damaged sidewalk and the construction of ADA improvements, the sidewalk will be closed and the traffic will be affected temporarily.
