Scope of Work

• Selective removal and construction of deteriorated pavement;
• Surface grinding and placement of ARAM and ARHM over Asphalt Concrete Pavement (Leveling Course);
• Selective reconstruction of concrete curb and gutters, cross gutters, driveway aprons, and sidewalks;
• Construction of Portland Cement Concrete ADA curb ramps;
• Installation of striping and other pavement markings; and;
• Traffic Signal Upgrade at the intersection of Doran Street and Maryland Street, Doran Street and Louise Streets, Doran Street and Jackson Street, and installation of new traffic signal at the intersection of Doran Street and Geneva Street through Balboa Avenue.

Construction Updates

• UPDATE 7/27/18: More grinding and paving is taking place over the next week, along the following schedule. On the days listed, streets are expected to be closed from 7AM-5PM.
• Friday, July 27, 2018: Doran Street between Isabel Street and Glendale Avenue; Doran Street between Glendale Avenue and Adams Street.
• Tuesday, July 31,2018: Doran Street between Isabel Street and Glendale Avenue; Doran Street between Glendale Avenue and Adams Street.
• Wednesday, August 1, 2018: Doran Street between Isabel Street and Glendale Avenue; Doran Street between Glendale Avenue and Adams Street; Jackson Street between Doran Street and Monterey Road
• UPDATE 7/19/18: Slurry sealing will take place on Monday, July 23 and Tuesday, July 24 in portions of the project areas. Streets that are getting slurry sealed will be closed from 7AM-5PM while they are being sealed. See the map below and the door hanger for the locations, schedule, and more information.

• UPDATE 7/12/18: Through July, contractors are completing asphalt improvement work on Doran St. and adjacent streets, including Maryland Ave., Maryland Pl., Louise St., Kenwood St., Kenwood Pl., Jackson St., Jackson Pl., Isabel St., Maurita Pl., Geneva St., Howard St., and Balboa Ave. Traffic signal improvements are also underway. Intermittent lane closures will cause traffic delays in these areas while work continues.

• UPDATE 6/21/18: Between now and end of June, contractors are completing concrete removal and replacement on Doran St. and adjacent streets, including Maurita Pl., Geneva St., Howard St., and Balboa Ave. Foundation and underground work on the traffic signal improvements is also taking place. Intermittent lane closures will cause traffic delays in these areas while work continues.
