West LA VA's Community Resource and Referral Center, also known as the Welcome Center, is a safe place for Veterans who are homeless or may be at risk of becoming homeless. Here, Veterans can get help from VA partners, take showers, eat a meal, do laundry, and speak with VA staff to find housing or get medical care or mental health treatment.

A Bridge Home (ABH) Emergency Shelter
Located on the West LA VA campus, is a shelter for male Veterans who are: VA healthcare eligible and able to independently perform activities of daily living.
Features Include: Single-bed, cubicle-style areas with privacy dividers, individual locked storage, three meals per day and snacks

Veterans Affairs (VA) and Veteran Peer Access Network (VPAN) have partnered together to offer shelter at these locations:

VPAN is a Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health program staffed by Veterans and military family members who provide peer support and linkage to services for fellow Veterans and their families.

Salvation Army Mobile Shower Program
The Salvation Army Glendale Corps Community Center is launching their Mobile Shower Program for unsheltered individuals in need. Stop by for a shower and a meal.

Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E)
- Services to help with job training, education, employment accommodations, resume development, and job seeking skills coaching. Other services may be provided to assist Veterans and Service members in starting their own businesses or independent living services for those who are severely disabled and unable to work in traditional employment.
Homeless Veterans Community Employment Services
- More than 150 Vocational Development Specialists who serve as Community Employment Coordinators (CECs), at most VA Medical Centers across the country. CECs are part of the VHA homeless program teams and are a bridge to community employment resources and employers ready to hire Veterans exiting homelessness. CECs benefit employers in the following ways:
- Pre-screen Veterans with a variety of skill sets and from all educational levels
- Refer job-ready Veteran candidates who are ready to work from day one for open positions
- Help facilitate hiring and onboarding
- Assist Veterans in applying their military experiences to civilian employment
Support for veterans facing or experiencing homelessness due to recent job loss, the Homeless Programs Office Communications Team has developed a new Job Loss Outreach Toolkit.
The Military & Veteran Crisis Line, text-messaging service, and online chat provide free support for all service members, including members of the National Guard and Reserve, and all veterans, even if they are not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care.
The Psychological Health Resource Center is available 24/7 for service members, veterans, and family members with questions about psychological health topics.
