Gas-Powered Leaf Blower Ban

Gas-powered leaf blowers create large amounts of noise and air pollution. To address these concerns and improve community health, Glendale’s City Council approved an ordinance prohibiting the use of gas-powered leaf blowers. Now, only electric leaf blowers, whether battery operated or plug-in, are permitted for use in Glendale. Click Here to Learn More.

Climate Action and Adaptation Plan

The City of Glendale has developed a Climate Action and Adaptation Plan (CAAP), which will serve as the roadmap for the city to equitably achieve carbon neutrality by 2045 or earlier. Polystyrene Ban

Single Use Plastic Foodware Ban

Plastic Food Ware 

The City adopted Ordinance 5973 (GMC 8.46) that requires food and beverage providers located within the City of Glendale – including restaurants, bars, and convenience stores – to have customers ask for accessory foodware items, such as spoons, forks, knives, napkins, straws, and other items, before receiving them. Click Here to Learn More.
