Every first Thursday of the month at 5:30 P.M., unless otherwise posted or announced, the Sustainability Commission meets to discuss Sustainability initiatives, policies, and innovations within the field. Glendale residents are welcome to attend and share their thoughts on sustainability in Glendale!

Ex Officio Student Commissioner Qualification
- A rising high school junior or above who attends an institute of higher learning in Glendale and/or lives in Glendale.
- Dedicated to the Glendale community.
- Interested in environmental issues.
- Available the first Thursday of the month at 5:30 PM to participate in Commission meetings.
Why Become an Ex Officio Student Commissioner?
- Gain experience in local government and Glendale's legislative process.
- Shape the vision of a sustainable Glendale.
- Attain local leadership experience.
- Earn volunteer credit and service hours.
- Contribute to a greener, more sustainable Glendale
How To Apply:
Fill out the Student Ex Officio Commissioner application on Google Forms. It includes:
- List of specific subjects studied applicable to this position.
- List of Community Service, Awards, Clubs.
- A 250-500 word Statement of Interest and Purpose
- 2 Letters of Recommendation (if unable to submit through the Google Forms, email them to Sustainability@GlendaleCA.gov)
All to be submitted through the Google Forms application by June 14, 2026 11:59PM.
