Jivan Gasparyan Jr. Born in Yerevan, Armenia, Jivan Gasparyan Jr. was immersed in Armenian folk music from an early age under the guidance of his grandfather, legendary duduk master Jivan Gasparyan. He studied at the Yerevan Vocal School while learning the art of the duduk directly from his grandfather — an apprenticeship that laid the foundation for his musical journey. After relocating to Los Angeles in his early teens, he initially pursued a path in medicine before recognizing that music was his true calling. Today, Jivan Gasparyan Jr. is devoted to preserving and advancing the duduk tradition, bringing a distinctive voice of his own to this timeless art form. Recognized as the best duduk player in New York by the Big Apple Music Awards, Jivan Jr. has dedicated his artistry to continuing the traditions of his grandfather and the Armenian people.
