Rotating outages have been suspended at this time.
GWP crews worked around the clock over the last few days to repair our electrical system. While assessing our load distribution, they found additional equipment damage at a substation that had been replaced just three months ago. It is suspected that this damage to the newly replaced equipment was a result of the catastrophic transformer failure which occurred on July 24. Crews have bolstered the existing system by replacing the damaged cable and rerouting the power lines to increase our capacity and alleviate issues until we can fully repair the damaged transformer.
GWP will continue to assess the system to ensure reliable and redundant distribution of power.
We apologize for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
