COME LISTEN TO SHARED STORIES from our workshops and community outreach from immigrants living, working & thriving in Glendale! We invite you to witness the launch of our narrative series -- Tapestry: Stories of the Human Spirit -- which chronicles the video stories of immigration using personal narratives, family mementos and other archival material to share the rich cultural fabric of the community.
This film screening and reception offers an early peek at a planned Fall exhibit that will showcase the personal stories of immigrants and their migration to Glendale from all corners of the world. (Exhibit scheduled for September 6 - November 8) <Read More>
The Library, Arts & Culture Department received a grant from the California State Library to help residents tell their stories about living in California and Glendale. Participants attended a two-day workshop to learn how to make personal films using family mementos and other archival material.
