INCREASED REBATES! Check them out below! Updated rebate amounts effective 11/1/2025

GWP’s Home Energy and Water Saving Rebates Program helps our customers save money on energy and water bills by offering rebates on eligible products. Most of the eligible products must be ENERGY STAR® qualified, so look for the ENERGY STAR® symbol when making your purchase. Please keep in mind the following:

You must be a Glendale Water & Power customer and the product you purchase must be installed in a residence serviced by Glendale Water & Power.
Rebates will be issued as a bill credit or a check depending on the product.
Applications must be submitted no more than 12 months from the date of purchase.
Rebates apply only to the products listed below.
ENERGY STAR® qualified products meet strict energy efficiency guidelines set by the EPA and US Department of Energy. These guidelines can change each year. As an ENERGY STAR® partner, GWP will honor these updated guidelines and will follow them when processing rebates.
Rebates are not guaranteed until verified.
The rebate amount cannot exceed the purchase price.
Rebates on various measures have been increased until funds are exhausted.

ENERGY STAR® Home Appliances

ENERGY STAR® Refrigerator - Increased to $200

ENERGY STAR® Freezer - Increased to $200

ENERGY STAR® Dishwasher - $50 Rebate

ENERGY STAR® Electric Heat Pump Clothes Dryer - $400 Rebate

Must meet current ENERGY STAR® guidelines.
Existing natural gas clothes dryer must be replaced with electric counterpart to qualify.
Finalized Building & Safety gas capping/fuel switching plumbing permit is required. Electrical permit is only required if a new 240-volt circuit needs to be installed to power the appliance and one is not already available at the installation location.
Limit 1 rebate every 10 years per customer at the same residence.
Rebate Amount: $400. Rebate will be issued as a bill credit.

ENERGY STAR® Electric Heat Pump Water Heater - Increased to $4,000

Must meet current ENERGY STAR® guidelines.
Existing natural gas water heater must be replaced with a heat pump to qualify.
Finalized Building & Safety gas capping/fuel switching plumbing permit & electrical permit are required.
Limit 1 rebate every 10 years per customer at the same residence.
Rebate Amount: $4,000 for a limited time only. Rebate will be issued as a paper check.

ENERGY STAR® Electric Clothes Dryer - $200 Rebate

Solar Attic Fan - $100 Rebate

ENERGY STAR® Heat Pump/Mini-Split Heat Pump (Replacing existing Heat Pump) - $500 per ton

Must have a SEER2 rating of 15.2 or greater and HSPF2 rating of 7.8 or greater.
Must meet current ENERGY STAR guidelines.
Must provide the AHRI certificate for the system. AHRI certificate can be acquired from the contractor or installer.
1 rebate per story every 10 years for Packaged or Split Heat Pump and 1 rebate per room every 10 years for Ductless/Mini-Split Heat Pump per customer at the same residence.
Rebate Amount: $500 per ton (total not to exceed $2,500). Rebate will be issued as a bill credit.

ENERGY STAR® Heat Pump/Mini-Split Heat Pump (Replacing an existing gas and electric HVAC system or gas furnace with an all electric Energy Star Heat Pump technology) - $1,000 per ton

Must have a SEER2 rating of 15.2 or greater and HSPF2 rating of 7.8 or greater.
Must meet current ENERGY STAR guidelines.
Must provide the AHRI certificate for the system. AHRI certificate can be acquired from the contractor or installer.
1 rebate per story every 10 years for Packaged or Split Heat Pump and 1 rebate per room every 10 years for Ductless/Mini-Split Heat Pump per customer at the same residence.
Finalized Building & Safety mechanical permit is required.
Rebate Amount: $1,000 per ton (total not to exceed $5,000). Rebate will be issued as a check.
