Scope of Work

The estimated capacity of the GWP Perkins Building – Rooftop Solar Project is 184 kW. This solar array is estimated to produce approximately 300 thousand kWh/year of clean solar energy. That is equivalent powering 41 homes annually.  

Project Status

October 2024: Completion of all plan reviews and permit issued.

November 2024: Project mobilization and material delivery completed.

December 2024: Roof repairs completed.

January 2025: Completed solar panel and inverter installation.

February 2025: Completed switchgear installation and electrical substructure construction.

March 2025: Completed interconnection to electric distribution grid, system commissioning and testing.

April 2025: Ribbon cutting ceremony with City Council, City Manager, GWP Leadership, and Solar Optimum.
