Scope of Work
The estimated capacity of the Glendale Community College Parking Lot 34 – Carport Solar Project is 741 kW. This solar array is estimated to produce approximately 1.2 million kWh/year of clean solar energy. That is equivalent to removing 194 gasoline powered vehicles off the road annually. The carport solar arrays will also provide an added benefit of shade to the community members who park their vehicles at the parking lot while enjoying activities at the nearby Verdugo Park, Babe Herman Ball Field, or attending classes at Glendale Community College.
For the GCC Lot 34 Solar Project to be successful, there are 8 trees along Canada Blvd adjacent to the parking lot that must be removed. More information will be provided once the plan is finalized.
