Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasure Plans (SPCC)
The SPCC plan discusses procedures, methods and equipment in place at the facility to prevent discharges of petroleum products from reaching navigable waters. The plan is certified by a Registered Professional Engineer and a complete copy is to be maintained on-site.
A facility is required to complete and maintain an SPCC plan if the aboveground storage capacity of the facility is 1,320 gallons or more of a petroleum product. The total includes any container 55 gallons or greater.
