The Revenue section is responsible for monitoring the City’s major revenue sources, such as Property Taxes, Sales Taxes and Utility User Taxes. On an ongoing basis the section assists City staff in revenue forecasting and analysis. It provides a constant source of information on taxes, charges and fees that are currently assessed by the City.
The Revenue section is also responsible for the City’s billed receivables inclusive of property damage, DUI (Driving Under the Influence) restitution, and project billing for Public Works and Glendale Water and Power departments, as well as the collection of City’s delinquent accounts.

Voluntary Disclosure Program for Unpaid Taxes
The City of Glendale offers a Voluntary Disclosure Program (VDP) for service providers that have been providing taxable services in the city but have not registered or paid the required taxes. The program encourages voluntary compliance and provides benefits such as:
- Waiver of penalties for late registration
- Opportunity for anonymous inquiry before disclosing business identity
To qualify, a business must voluntarily come forward before being contacted by the City and meet other eligibility requirements. Participants must disclose past activities, pay owed taxes and interest, and agree to ongoing compliance.
