Project Scope
The project includes the complete rehabilitation of the existing restroom building located north of the Babe Herman Little League Field, including Title 24 and ADA accessibility standards.
Background
Following a competitive RFP process in Spring 2023, the City awarded a contract to Infrastructure Architects, Inc. for design and construction administration services. The agreement was executed in August 2023.
The design consultant completed 100% construction drawings in March 2024, and plans were submitted for permitting. Permit reviewer comments were received on June 26, 2024, and the project received permit approval in January 2025 after a third resubmittal.
Funding
The current budget appropriation is $300,000 in Measure A Funds. An additional $150,000 was approved by the County in Measure A funds and will be appropriated when the project goes back to Council for construction contract award.
Status Update
The project is now managed by Public Works – Facilities Management Division. Construction is underway to rehabilitate the restroom building and improve accessibility. The building will remain closed until early February 2026.
Please note: A section of the parking lot adjacent to the restroom will be under construction during this period. Visitors are encouraged to park in Lot 34 or utilize available street parking.
