The City of Glendale allows limited home-sharing, where a host lives on site during a guest’s stay, and prohibits vacation rentals, where no host lives on site. Glendale's Home-Sharing ordinance established regulations governing the rental of residential property for thirty (30) consecutive days or less within the City of Glendale.

These regulations help maintain adequate and affordable housing stock for residents in accordance with the City’s Housing Element of the General Plan, and ensure that home-sharing does not become a nuisance or threaten public health, safety or welfare due to excessive noise, disorderly conduct, overcrowding, traffic congestion, illegal parking, the accumulation of refuse, and other impacts related to home-sharing and vacation rentals.

Contact the Licensing Office at (818) 937-8300 to learn more. Apply for a home-sharing license at GlendalePermits.org.
