Neighborhood Services is responsible for nearly eliminating graffiti in Glendale. The City of Glendale uses the following tactics:
When offered for sale, graffiti implements including spray paint, wide-tip markers, paint sticks and glass etchers are required to be kept behind a locked cabinet.
City staff will remove graffiti from public property as quickly as possible when it is reported.
City staff will routinely survey public property to note and remove graffiti that is not reported by residents.
The City will aggressively investigate, apprehend and prosecute any person involved in graffiti vandalism.
Glendale Police Department and Neighborhood Services personnel will share information on the identity of taggers and graffiti vandals.
Graffiti Removal on Private Property
Property owners are required to keep their property free from graffiti. Graffiti must be removed promptly. Property owners may arrange for City staff to remove graffiti from private property for a fee. The fee covers the material cost of the removal.
