Duties

The Charter Review Committee was established to undertake a comprehensive review of the City Charter, which has not undergone a significant update in almost two decades. The Committee's recommendations will be presented to the City Council for consideration. Some proposals may be incorporated into future ballot measures, allowing the Glendale community to participate directly in shaping the City Charter. 

Membership

• Twelve members
• No compensation

On February 27, 2024, the City Council initiated the establishment of a Committee to review the City’s Charter. To learn more, refer to the detailed report item 8(e). 

Committee members were selected by City Council during the May 7th Council meeting.

Qualifications

Members must be residents of Glendale who are registered to vote.
