GLENDALE, CA – Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Children’s Services is pleased to announce the winners of the 2026 Bookmark Contest. Participants were asked to create a bookmark showcasing the theme Plant a Seed, Read. Artwork was encouraged to reflect on farms, gardens, and feeding their bodies and minds through reading. This year’s bookmark contest theme is also the 2026 Summer Reading Program theme. Winners will have their bookmarks reproduced and distributed at all Library, Arts & Culture locations during the Summer Reading Program beginning June 1st.  For more information, call the Children’s Room at (818) 548-2035.   

Founded in 1907, the Glendale Library, Arts & Culture Department includes eight neighborhood libraries including the Brand Library & Art Center, a regional visual arts and music library and performance venue housed in the historic 1904 mansion of Glendale pioneer Leslie C. Brand, and the Central Library, a 93,000 square foot center for individuals and groups to convene, collaborate and create. The department also serves as the chief liaison to the Glendale Arts and Culture Commission which works to continually transform Glendale into an ever-evolving arts destination.
