Join the City of Glendale Winter Decorating Contest for Holiday Fun!
Glendale, CA – The City of Glendale announces the Winter Decorating Contest for a second year, inviting residents and businesses to showcase their holiday spirit and help light up neighborhoods across the city.
“Last year’s contest brought a lot of joy to our community,” said Mayor Ara Najarian. “Residents and businesses created elaborate, festive displays that represented Glendale’s sense of holiday spirit. My City Council colleagues and I look forward to recognizing this year’s winners at the January City Council Meeting.”
Key Dates
- Submission Period: December 8–14, 2025, or until 30 entries are received, whichever comes first
- Decorations Showcase Night & Staff Judging: December 16, 2025
- Winners Announced: December 24, 2025
- Council Recognition: Category winners will be invited to receive commendations at the January 6, 2026 City Council Meeting
Categories for Recognition
Entries will be recognized in the following categories:
- Most Creative and Original Display
- Outstanding Business Winter Wonderland
- Best Attention to Detail
- City Council’s Choice (NEW!)
How to Enter
Participants must submit a photo of their decorated exterior through the online form at GlendaleCA.gov/WinterContest during the submission period. Entries should feature decorations that are clearly visible from the public right-of-way.
