City of Glendale Accepting Applications for Glendale Tech Week Events
Glendale, CA – The City of Glendale is now accepting applications from individuals, groups, or organizations interested in hosting events during the 9th Annual Glendale Tech Week, taking place September 2-4, 2025.
Recognized as one of Southern California’s signature gatherings for the tech community, Glendale Tech Week brings together startups and executives, entrepreneurs and innovators, angel investors and venture capitalists for a curated series of workshops, panels, job fairs, and networking events. Last year’s event attracted more than 3,000 attendees over three days, and this year is expected to be even larger.
“What makes Glendale Tech Week such an important catalyst for the tech industry is that it is truly collaborative,” said Community Development Director Bradley Calvert. “Over the years, our local accelerators and tech firms have hosted events, shared expertise on panels, and helped build a strong culture of innovation. We’re excited to welcome even more partners this year to celebrate and grow Glendale’s tech community”.
Approved events will be added to the Glendale Tech Week calendar and provided with GTW25 marketing assets to use for branding and promotion. Hosts are responsible for planning and managing their event, securing a venue, and promoting it through their own channels. Events must take place during the official Glendale Tech Week dates.
“Glendale Tech Week is just one important part of our proactive and flourishing tech ecosystem," stated Economic Development Deputy Director Soua Vang. "The City of Glendale Economic Development team remains steadfast in its commitment to help both existing tech businesses as well as working with aspiring entrepreneurs to build their future in the city.”
Glendale is quickly becoming recognized as essential to the Southern California innovation ecosystem. The City actively supports tech growth through year-round programming, including networking events such as Tech on Tap, Investors on Tap, and inter-city partnership through initiatives such as Upstart Valley and #EarlyStageLA. Partnerships with regional accelerators, incubators, and innovation leaders continue to foster growth in the startup economy.
More than that, Glendale recently chose programs led by FoundersBoost and SmartGateVC LLC as the recipients of a $1 million grant to help support operation and program management for tech startup accelerators. These firms will further help to seek out industry-defining ideas and inject capital, talent, and industry connections to power pre-seed to seed transformation. These groups join a larger network that includes accelerators led by Disney, KidsX, and Hero House for example.
Tech firms looking to grow in Glendale also benefit from an array of coworking spaces operated by industry leaders such as WeWork Industrious, and Regus along with quality Class A office space options. In this way, Glendale is able to support entrepreneurs and innovators all year long.
That support is evident by the many technology-based companies that call Glendale home including Age of Learning, ServiceTitan, evite, and many others. The presence of major movie studios such as Disney and DreamWorks and proximity to cutting edge research institutions like Caltech and Jet Propulsion Laboratory also gives the city a competitive advantage.
