Sexual Predator Arrested again by the Glendale Police Department
Glendale, CA – Today, the Glendale Police Department arrested 37-year-old Calese Crowder of Glendale. This is the second time in a week Crowder was arrested by Glendale Police Detectives.
Last Friday, August 11th, Glendale Police took swift action by arresting Crowder for his alleged involvement in a peeping incident targeting a Glendale family. The family, including children, were home at the time of the incident.
On Monday, August 14th, Crowder faced arraignment in the Glendale Superior Court, where he was charged with 647(i) P.C. Crowder entered a plea of "no contest" and was sentenced to 60 days in county jail and ordered to enter a sexual impulse rehabilitation program. A protective order was served in the court on behalf of the victim's family. After sentencing on Monday, Crowder was remanded to the custody of the L.A. County Sheriff's Department (LASD) to begin his jail term.
Yesterday, Glendale Police Detectives found that Crowder had been released from LASD custody. As a component of a previous arrest and sentencing, Crowder was ordered to register as a sex offender. This stipulation mandated registration at his local police department.
Glendale Police confirmed that he had not registered as a sex offender with our department and was in violation. He was arrested again today.
Crowder is scheduled to be arraigned for the second time this week, on Friday (8/18), in the Glendale Superior Court. Crowder is currently in the Glendale City Jail with a $20,000 bail.
