Glendale Library Hosts Free Income Tax Preparation


GLENDALE—If you made under $56,000 in 2019, professionally trained and certified VITA volunteers can prepare and electronically file your federal and state income tax returns for free at the Glendale Central Library Auditorium, 222 East Harvard Street. Make an appointment for this free assistance at:

This free service will be available at the Glendale Central Library:

  • Tuesdays, from January 28 - April 14, 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. (except March 3); and,
  • Sundays, February 9, March 15, and April 5, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. 

What To Bring:

  • Proof of identification for you and, if married, your spouse. Both spouses must be present.
  • Social Security cards or Individual taxpayer identification cards or notices for all listed on the return.
  • Birthdates for you, your spouse, and any dependents on the return.
  • Deduction and credit information.
  • Total daycare payments and Provider’s tax ID.
  • Forms 1095-A, 1095-B, or 1095-C when applicable.
  • Last year’s tax return.
  • Direct deposit information.
  • All W-2, 1099, and 1098 forms.

Serving the public since 1970, CSUN VITA Clinic is a cost-free income tax assistance service to low-income residents in the San Fernando Valley and beyond. The goal of CSUN VITA is to provide outstanding free tax preparation service to low income taxpayers in the community and to provide CSUN students with quality experiential learning experience in the field of taxation.
