GLENDALE, Calif. – On Friday, November 15, 2019 over a dozen local, private, and public service providers will come together to deliver information and resources to homeless persons throughout the city. The event will assist in facilitating crucial services and direction for those looking to obtain housing, employment, and mental health counseling among others. Glendale Homeless Connect Day is part of Project Homeless Connect, a nonprofit organization that strengthens and utilizes collaborations with city agencies, businesses, organizations, and the community to provide comprehensive services. The organization also hosts Community Day of Service events and in-house continued care for those who are at risk of becoming homeless, are currently experiencing homelessness, or are transitioning from homelessness to housing.

On this day, cities across the country will hold a one-day service event designed to connect homeless individuals and families, who are not currently accessing services, with local service providers. Attendees will learn how to utilize available resources to address the problems contributing to their homelessness. Among the agencies to be represented are Ascencia Glendale, The Salvation Army, Department of Social Services, Social Security Administration, Department of Mental Health, Catholic Charities, YWCA of Glendale, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Glendale Memorial Hospital, County of Los Angeles, Department of Public Health, Glendale Police Department, and City of Glendale.

The event will take place at Central Park located at 201 E. Colorado Street, in Glendale, between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
