Juvenile Female Assaulted by Male

On October 19, 2019, at approximately 9:00 p.m. a sixteen year old girl was walking home on Opechee Way just east of Verdugo Road when a male emerged from behind a bush and blocked her path.  The man then grabbed the victim and touched her in a way that would constitute sexual battery.  The victim screamed and fought the man off.  The assailant then fled west on Opechee Way toward Cañada Boulevard.

The victim described the male as six foot tall, medium build, with dark brown eyes and “bushy” eyebrows.  He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt (with the hood pulled over his head) and dark blue jeans.

All witnesses are encouraged to call the Glendale Police Department at 818-548-4911 if they have any information regarding this incident.

If you wish to remain anonymous, call the L.A. Regional Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (800-222-8477), use your smartphone by downloading the “P3 MOBILE APP,” or go directly to www.lacrimestoppers.org.
