Homicide Investigation - Requesting the Public's Assistance

Glendale, CA: The Glendale Police Department Homicide Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible for the shooting death of a 28 year old Glendale resident on August 5, 2019.

On August 5, 2019 at approximately 9:20 p.m., the victim and a male companion were walking towards their car in the 1200 block of Boynton in the City of Glendale, when a male approached the two from behind and fired multiple shots towards the males. The victim was struck by gun fire and fell to the ground. The Glendale Police Department responded and rendered first aid; however, the victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The witness described the suspect as a male white in his 50’s, approximately 5’10, unshaven, medium build, wearing dark clothing and prescription glasses.

The name of the victim will not be released at this time.
