City Calls for Applications for Glendale Tech Week’s Pitchfest

GLENDALE, CA:  The City of Glendale is currently accepting applications for Pitchfest, Glendale Tech Week’s popular Shark Tank-style event. Pre-selected startups will have the opportunity to present their ideas and products in front of a live audience, angel investors, and venture capital (VC) judges. The deadline to apply is August 9, 2019.

Competing companies will have 6 minutes to present their pitch followed by three minutes for Q&A. Companies selected to participate will also have an opportunity to attend an advance coaching session with the judges to perfect their pitch decks and address any pre-presentation questions. Qualifying companies include any startup developing proprietary products or technologies, and startups with zero-to-nominal revenues. The startup or founder must reside in Glendale or nearby vicinity, and the founder must present.

The list of representatives that have or will participate in the selection, review and judging process is:

  • Ara Aslanian, CEO of Inverselogic Inc.
  • Ana Quintana, Managing Partner at Black Diamond Ventures
  • Armen Vartanian, Founder of Oceanview Capital Partners
  • Alex Bruno, Founder of Bruno Group Inc.
  • Ani Torosyan, CEO of DishDivvy
  • Stepan Khzrtian, Founding Partner at LegalLab Law Boutique

Pitchfest is one of many events lined up for the City of Glendale’s Fourth Annual Glendale Tech Week. This event supports the Glendale Tech Strategy, which was adopted by the Glendale City Council in 2017 as a way to develop the ecosystem of technology and innovation in Glendale.
