GLENDALE, California – Glendale Water & Power (GWP) is preparing an Integrated Resource Plan (IRP) and is asking customers for their input through its IRP survey and community workshops. An IRP is a planning document that provides the public owned utility with guidance to establish policies regarding the City’s electricity supply over the long term planning horizon. Feedback collected through the online survey and workshops will be included in the final 2019 Integrated Resource Plan and will be presented to the City Council and to the State.

GWP’s goal is to deliver reliable, high quality, environmentally-sensitive, and sustainable water and power services to our customers in a caring and cost-competitive manner. To achieve this goal, GWP is diligently working towards reducing its environmental footprint by supporting distributed energy programs that improve energy conservation, promote grid modernization and integrate transportation and home electrification. The IRP survey and workshops are designed to include inputs related to customers’ opinion to those programs.
