Glendale, CA. — On November 8, 2018, Glendale Detectives arrested 25 year old Daniel Physioc of Glendale and 31 year old Stephen Frye of San Gabriel, for a series of vehicle burglaries that occurred in the City of Glendale.
On October 22, 2018, between the hours of 2:30 am and 3:05 am, two vehicle burglaries occurred at an apartment subterranean garage located in the 600 block of North Kenwood Street in Glendale. The victims reported personal items, electronics and cash stolen from their vehicles.
Officers located surveillance footage that captured two suspects attempting to enter the apartment complex through the secured front doors. After several attempts to gain entry by using a lock pick device, the suspects are later seen entering through a garage gate, which was later found damaged. The suspects are then seen on surveillance footage walking throughout the subterranean garage, checking door handles, and later entering and ransacking vehicles. After taking several items from different vehicles, one of the suspects exits the garage area and the other suspect successfully dismantles and steals the surveillance camera. Additional surveillance footage was located that captured one of the suspects stealing packages that were left in the lobby area near the mail boxes.
The detective assigned to the case reviewed the surveillance footage and recognized one of the males as Daniel Physioc from prior contacts.
On November 8th, Glendale Detectives served a search warrant at Physioc’s residence located in the 400 block of Oak Street in Glendale. Upon arrival, detectives saw Physioc sitting in a parked vehicle to the front of his home where he was taken into custody without incident.
Detectives continued their investigation and located a male to the rear of the residence in a converted garage. The male was identified as Stephen Frye, the second suspect caught on security surveillance with Physioc at the apartment complex. Frye was taken into custody without incident.
A search of the converted garage revealed numerous items of evidence that were later determined to be stolen property from Glendale vehicles. Many items have since been returned to the victims. Detectives are still attempting to locate the owner of a violin.
Further investigation by detectives have tied the two suspects to at least eight vehicle burglaries in Glendale and four vehicle burglaries in the City of Beverly Hills. Both Physioc and Frye have an extensive criminal history for theft and narcotics. Physioc is currently on summary probation.
The case remains under investigation by detectives.
