Three Arrested Involving Sales and Transportation of a Controlled Substance

On January 15, 2018 at approximately 1:25 am, Glendale officers stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Chevy Chase and San Fernando Road.
The driver, identified as 23 year old Ivan Acosta of Fairfield California, was contacted and advised of the violation. A DMV check revealed his driver’s license was suspended. Subsequent to further investigation, officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located approximately 10 pounds of methamphetamine hidden in large packages throughout the interior of the vehicle.
The driver, Ivan Acosta and two additional passengers, identified as 40 year old Jose Ramirez and 26 year old Tralia Evans of Wyoming, were arrested for sales and transportation of a controlled substance.
Detectives confirmed the suspects had traveled from Wyoming for the purpose of purchasing bulk narcotics, not in the City of Glendale.
