Bank Robbery Series - GPD Requesting the Public's Assistance

Glendale, CA – Glendale Police Department Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying the suspects involved in two attempt bank robberies in the City of Glendale. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned the same suspects are responsible for bank robberies in the City of Sherman Oaks and the City of Los Banos.
On Monday, November 20, 2017 at 12:17 pm, Suspect #1 entered the Citibank located at 1201 North Central Avenue in the City of Glendale. The suspect handed the teller a note demanding cash and revealed a handgun tucked in his waistband. When the teller refused to hand over the cash, the suspect fled the bank and entered a silver Kia Optima driven by Suspect #2.
On the same date at 2:08 pm, Suspect #1 entered the Bank of America located at 203 North Glendale Avenue in the City of Glendale. The suspect passed a note to the teller demanding money and revealed a gun in his waistband. The suspect fled the bank without obtaining cash.
Suspect #1 is described as a male white, 30-40 years old, 6’1” – 6’5”, thin build, brown hair, brown eyes, and a brown beard.
Suspect#2 is described as a male African-American, 24-30 years old, 5’8” – 5’9”, slim build and heavily tattooed. Tattoos: Distinct cancer ribbon on the front of his neck, and a unknown tattoo on the back of his neck. Others include a marijuana leaf on his right wrist/forearm, musical notes/treble clefs on his upper arm and an unknown tattoo on the back of his right hand.
The suspect’s vehicle is described as 2016-2017 silver KIA Optima with an unknown sticker displayed on the lower left front windshield and a sticker in the lower right rear window.
Suspect #1 is believed to be involved in a bank robbery on November 18, 2017 in the City of Sherman Oaks and a bank robbery in the City of Los Banos (Merced County) on November 9, 2017.
