Glendale Tech on Tap: Successfully Scaling Product Development: Age of Learning’s Story

GLENDALE, CA – The City of Glendale invites you to attend a free Glendale Tech on Tap event from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 9 at the Moose Den, 156 S. Brand Blvd. This talk will feature the President of Production at Age of Learning, Inc., Alex Galvagni, as he explains Agile, Scrum, and Kanban methodologies and how they empower teams to drive impact along with Age of Learning’s success story. The event is free but space is limited, RSVP here.

ABOUT THE TALK: What does it take to successfully scale a tech company and improve execution? What structural changes and models are effective? We will look at Age of Learning’s success story and other companies with similar approaches to growth.

Alex Galvagni is a business and software technology leader with experience building and scaling high performance teams. In 2016, he joined Age of Learning, Inc., a leading education technology innovator based in Glendale and creator of the No. 1 digital learning resource for children ages 2–8, Early Learning Academy.

In his role as President of Production, he oversees the product development teams, guiding successful execution and growth. Alex came to Age of Learning with more than 20 years of expertise building and leading innovative software development organizations. Most recently, he served as the General Manager of the Warner Bros. Home Entertainment game studio Turbine, where he led the company’s expansion into mobile. Previously, Alex was President and Chief Operating Officer of Transpera, Inc., a leading mobile video ad network acquired by Tremor Video (NYSE: TRMR); and Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Global Development at Glu Mobile, Inc. (NASDAQ: GLUU). Alex also spent several years as a Senior Software Engineer at NASA Ames Research Center. He holds an M.S. in Computer Engineering from Santa Clara University.

EVENT DETAILS:  Light happy hour snacks will be provided. No host bar. Brief presentation, long post reception. Thirty minute talk starts at 6:30 p.m. Casual environment with good company and great conversation!
