Glendale Fire Department to Host a Pinning Ceremony

Photo and Interview Opportunity

Glendale, CA –The Glendale Fire Department encourages all personnel to work towards becoming a leader within the department by promoting to new ranks.  When personnel promote to a new position, a promotional ceremony is held to acknowledge the skill, dedication and hard work of the individual.

What: 

The Glendale Fire Department will host a promotional ceremony to promote Bill Lynch to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief, Brian Julian to the rank of Battalion Chief, Chris Malaspino to the rank of Fire Captain, Derek Tamburro to the rank of Fire Captain, Brendan Edwards to the rank of Fire Engineer, Sean Haug to the rank of Fire Engineer, and Lance Menier to the rank of Fire Engineer. The ceremony will include the return of their current rank badge and the pinning of the new ranked position badge. This will be followed by a dedication to the rigors of their new positions by taking the Public Service Oath. 

Why:

The badge pinning ceremony of the Glendale Fire Department is a time-honored tradition signifying the introduction and transition of new departmental leaders to their new positions. It is an opportunity to recognize their efforts in front of colleagues, city officials and City of Glendale residents.

When:

Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 8:00 am

Where:

Media members are invited to attend this event at Glendale Fire Station 21 located at 421 Oak Street, Glendale, CA 91204. Photo and interview opportunities will be provided with the Glendale Fire Department personnel.
