Foothill Welcoming Monument Design

Glendale, CA - The City of Glendale has partnered with the Friends of North Glendale to create welcome entry monuments on Foothill Boulevard.  The monuments will be placed at the City of Glendale entry points at Lowell Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue.  The City of Glendale is seeking a design that is reflective of the community’s personality and style.

The Foothill community is unique in character and should be reflected in this opportunity to create a monument welcoming those who travel to and through Glendale. The final design will be chosen by an independent community panel.  It will then be manufactured into a substantial monument and installed on a newly constructed median in the public right of way.

If interested in participating, please contact Jacqueline Bartlow at jbartlow@glendaleca.gov or (818) 548-3155 to request a creative brief, the terms & conditions agreement, and the basic signage guidelines.  Designs will be accepted through November 30, 2015.

All interested artists are encouraged to submit a design.
