For Immediate Release
December 17, 2014

Tahnee Lightfoot, Public Information Officer

The Glendale Police Department has partnered with LexisNexis to better serve citizens and insurance carriers with obtaining a traffic accident report online through a secure website.

LexisNexis eCrash gives law enforcement agencies the ability to:

  • Minimize manual handling, save time, reduce clerk costs and increase administrative efficiency
  • Improve service to the public by allowing involved parties to purchase reports online, 24/7
  • Free up agency staff to handle more important duties and decreasing walk-in requests
  • Improve agency's investigative strength by providing easy access to their accident reports and those of other participating agencies

The public can purchase the report online for $26.00. Individuals who do not wish to pay the $10.00 convenience fee established by LexisNexis, can still request a copy of their traffic accident report for $16.00 either by US Mail, or in person at the Glendale Police Department, located at 131 N. Isabel Street, Glendale.

The Records Bureau public counter hours are Monday - Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., excluding holidays.

Important: Citizens must wait seven days from the date of the traffic accident report before attempting to purchase a report online. Also, note that some reports that require a criminal investigation by the Traffic Bureau may be delayed and/or not available online (Such as hit and run accidents or collisions resulting in a fatality).

For further information, contact the Records Bureau at 818-548-3135.
