It's a type of zither, which means it's a stringed instrument with strings stretched across a flat, wooden soundboard.</p><p></p><p>Founded in 2008, Soyul Gayageum Orchestra consists of around thirty members from elementary students to adults. They regularly hold performances and play at various concerts and festivals to introduce&nbsp; the Korean traditional instrument, Gayageum, and the beauty of its sound to the mainstream media. They also received awards from many competitions, such as New York Korean Traditional Music&nbsp; Competition, Korean Traditional</p><p>Music and Art Competition and the World Competition of Korean Traditional Performing Arts. They also had the honor of performing at Carnegie Hall in 2022.</p><p><strong>PARKING</strong></p><p>Library parking is available onsite. Parking entrance is behind the Fire Station and Library buildings on Sunset Ave. Visitors receive 3-hour free parking and 15 minutes drop off parking is available in front of the Library. Accessible parking and wheelchair ramp is available in the parking lot.
