Glendale Environmental Coalition (GEC) has planned a clean-up day for next Saturday (June 28). Here are the details:
When: Gather up starting 8:30 a.m. on Saturday June 28 in the courtyard behind city hall and sign a City required liability waiver. We will head out to pick up litter at 9 a.m. (Need caffeine first? Some of our crew will stop by Highlight Coffee, 701 E Broadway. Bring your reusable cup in solidarity!)
Where: We will be cleaning up areas near City Hall and along some major routes.
Parking: Park for free in the Civic Center Visitors Parking Lot at 225 W. Wilson or arrive by bus or bike (there are storage racks).
Bring: Your water bottle, a hat and gloves if you have them.
We Supply: GEC will provide trash bags, some trash pickers, gloves, some safety vests some drinking water and other information.
Details: GEC will provide a map with suggested areas for cleanup. We'll depart from our meet up point at 9am. The cleanup will officially end at noon, but you can return to our meet up point at any time. City Hall restrooms will be open to participants throughout the event.
