A Woman Today comes to the Armenian Film Festival after its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival.

Juliette is thirty-five and seems to have it all: a high-profile job in the financial sector, a beautiful home, and a life of constant travel. Her mother hopes to have grandchildren, while Juliette's nights are filled with fleeting lovers. One day, however, she is attacked by a colleague during a company event, and her world falls apart. Juliette then decides to embark on a new journey to find meaning in her life.

Robert Guédiguian explores the stories of those he calls, in Victor Hugo's words, the "poor": workers, employees, small business owners, the unemployed, immigrants, and the marginalized. Robert Guédiguian has developed his worldview by making films in Sarajevo, Yerevan, Beirut, and Dakar, and his films have premiered at Cannes, Venice, and Berlin.
