Join Armenian Film Society on Thursday, September 17 at 7:30pm for our Opening Film and the US Premiere of Atonement.

Starring Boyd Holbrook, Hiam Abbass, and Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, Atonement comes to the Armenian Film Festival after its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival and Gala Presentation at the Toronto International Film Festival.

ATONEMENT is written and directed by Oscar-nominated filmmaker Reed Van Dyk and is inspired by real events during the Iraq War. The film explores the aftermath of a US Marine’s split-second decision during a firefight that devastates an Iraqi-Armenian family, and his attempt years later to reconcile with the woman and her family who survived.

The US Premiere will feature Reed Van Dyk and Hiam Abbass in attendance.
