Teen Clothing & Prom Attire Swap

Join us for a fun-filled Glendale x Junior Highโ€™s first-ever Teen Clothing & Prom Attire Swap at the at the newly opened Teen Space in Central Library!

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Goody Bags 

You're invited to this Clothing Swap event where you get to pick up new and gently used formal wear for the prom season, get a prom-style picture taken at the photobooth, get fitted and styled by a seasoned tailor, take home a goody bag of cosmetics and beauty supplies (limited quantity available to be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis) to use for your next formal occasion. More activities are present during the swap! 

โœจ How It Works:

Find & Bring

  • Bring up to 10 clean and gently used teen clothing items (no holes or tears).
  • Items accepted: Dresses, shirts, bottoms, jackets, and accessories.
  • Not accepted: Shoes, underwear, or socks.

Drop-Off Locations & Dates

  • You can bring your items at the beginning of the swap at Central Library, Teen Space (second floor) until 12:00 PM.
  • Or to City Hall, Management Services, 613 E. Broadway a week ahead from Monday, May 5 โ€“ Friday, May 9 during operational hours.

Swap & Shop!

  • Arrive at the Swap, shop, and check out all the activities!

This Clothing Swap is intended for teenagers currently in high school, between 13 โ€“ 18 years old only.

๐ŸŒŸ Volunteer Opportunity

You can also swap and volunteer during the event!

We are looking for people to help us sort clothing, check in people, weigh clothing for data tracking, help with event clean-up/set-up and more!

๐ŸšŒ Getting to the Glendale Central Library: 

222 E Harvard St, Glendale, CA 91205 

By Bus: 

  • Beeline Route 4, 31 stops across the street from the Central Library on Harvard. 

  • Beeline Route 6 stops at Louise and Colorado, around the corner from the Library. 

  • Beeline Route 11 stops at Colorado and Brand, around the corner from the Library. 

  • Metro Route 92 and 180 stop at Harvard and Brand, around the corner from the Library. 

  • Metro Route 94 stops at Colorado and Brand, around the corner from the Library.

By Bike: 

  • Bicycle parking is available at the Central Library. Bike racks are located in front of the main entrance on Harvard. 

By Metro Micro: 

Dial-A-Ride: 

  • If you are resident who is 65 years or older or a disabled resident who is registered with Dial-A-Ride, you can registered to be dropped off at the library. For more information, visit GlendaleTransit.com

  • Free parking and accessible parking is available in the Central Library Parking Lot. 

  • Visitors can receive 3 hours of free parking across Harvard street at the Marketplace parking structure with validation at the service desk. Accessible parking is available on the east side of the building.
