Get The Dirt on Plant Propagation 2019 11"Get the Dirt" on Plant Propagation, Hike and Class

Roger Klemm will lead this hike and teach us how to propagate native California plants growing in Deukmejian Wilderness Park.  After the hike, we will return to the ranch house to learn about germination.  You will get the dirt (and a pot) to germinate the seeds collected. This event is FREE!  But you must RSVP by calling 818-548-3795. Sign up early as this program is popular.  This program is recommended for ages 13 and older.

Over a dozen local private and public service providers will come together to provide information and resources to homeless persons that will facilitate obtaining services and housing. The Glendale Connect Day is part of a National Project Homeless Connect Day.  On this day, cities across the country will hold one-day service events designed to connect homeless individuals and families who are not currently accessing services with local service providers. Homeless attendees will learn how to utilize available resources to address the problems contributing to their homelessness.  Among the agencies to be represented are Ascencia Glendale, The Salvation Army, Department of Social Services, Social Security Administration, Department of Mental Health, Catholic Charities, YWCA of Glendale, Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Glendale Memorial Hospital, County of Los Angeles, Department of Public Health, Glendale Police Department, and City of Glendale.
