_BLAC_BIG CITY

July 20 - Big City Swing Committee

Join us for an evening of upbeat, high energy music, laughs and just plain fun. Big City Swing Committee's repertoire features retro hits from swing and blues legends including Louis Prima, Ray Charles, Louis Jordan, Count Basie, John Lee Hooker, James Brown, Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, Muddy Waters along with many more favorites from the great American songbook. We also do a variety of Italian songs in the style of Louis Prima. Big City Swing Committee provides a refreshing new kind of experience where the focus is on the audience rather than on the band. We use humor, contests and audience participation to immerse the crowd directly in the show. A fun experience for all audiences. Come prepared to be in the show!

The City of Glendale’s Performance Series began in 2014 to celebrate the renovation and reopening of the historic Brand Library & Art Center. The Brand Library & Art Center provides a free cultural asset to residents and attracts visitors to experience arts and cultural opportunities in the city. This Performance Series is designed to support arts organizations and to bring distinguished cultural programming to Glendale. The Performance Series is supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates.
