Residential Preferential Parking Permit
Glendale residents living within an established Residential Preferential Parking District may be eligible to purchase a permit that excludes them from the posted time limits. As a reminder, vehicles displaying a valid Preferential Parking Permit are not exempt from the posted “No Parking” zones or times. To find out if you live in one of these districts, please call the City at (818) 548-3945.
To apply for your 2016 Residential Preferential Parking Permits, please print and complete the application (click here). Then mail it with the required documents and permit payments to:

Currently, the online permit application process is under development. If you have any questions regarding the permit process please call 866-470-3088. Steps to reach a customer service representative are:
- Get Information, Press option 2 then
- All other inquiries, Press option 4 and last you will hear;
- Questions regarding parking permits, Press option 1. This will prompt you to a customer service representative.
The City of Glendale has added the “Extend-by-Phone” feature to all Digital parking meters in Downtown Glendale. This feature allows customers who pay by credit card the ability to receive a reminder text that their parking is about to expire. For more information, watch the video below.
