Join the Teen Advisory Group!

The Teen Advisory Group is a chance for you to lend your voice to the services Glendale Public Library provides for teens. In the past few years, the TAG has selected teen books for the library, created displays, planned programs, created public art projects, and much more! Attendance counts for volunteer credit, and there is no limit to how many people may join.

The TAG meets twice monthly, on Wednesdays at 4 p.m. You must be a current high school student to attend.

Meeting dates:

  • April 23, 2014
  • May 21, 2014

Every other meeting, the TAG will help the Friends of the Library set up for their monthly book sale.

Audiobook Trivia App

Check out this new app from Findaway. It’s called Bookopotamus, and it’s a cool audiobook trivia contest. When you download the app and play, donations are made to First Book, a nonprofit organization determined to see that all children have access to an ongoing supply of new books.

In each round of Bookopotamus, the player is presented with an audible audiobook quote and is asked to guess, against the clock, which book the quote is from. The earlier the answer is provided, the higher the score for the game. As they play, users evolve from a curious little Bookworm into a Bookopotamus with an insatiable appetite for books. The more you play, the more they donate!

Visit the Apple App Store or Google Play and download Bookopotamus today!
