Unemployment Insurance Benefits
At the Verdugo Jobs Center, we have qualified staff who are available to assist you in a one-on-one processing of your application for Unemployment Insurance Benefits. Services include:
- Two telephones in the VJC Reception Area are directly connected with the UI claims center.
- Brochures are available which highlight claim-filing procedures.
- Partners provide customers with the 800 number to call to file a claim or ask questions.
State of California Employment Development Department (EDD) is collocated at the Verdugo Jobs Center. EDD can provide fidelity bonding for job candidates who do not qualify under an employer's insurance carrier.
When you are at VJC, go to the front counter and ask a staff member to refer you to the EDD staff who specializes in bonding.
