On December 10, 2017, Glendale Police responded to the 1300 block of Thompson Avenue to assist the Glendale Fire Department in investigating three suspicious fires that had burned in close proximity to each other. The fires were extinguished prior to spreading or causing damage; however, arson was suspected.
Video surveillance, covering the area, was obtained from a nearby home. After reviewing the video, two suspects were identified as juveniles from the local area. The juveniles admitted to the crime and they were arrested for illegally setting fires.
It is not believed the two juveniles have any connection to any of the wildfires that have been burning in the Southern California area.
