Glendale, CA – A 64 year old man from Van Nuys has died after being involved in a motor vehicle collision on November 28, 2017.
Just before 5:30 A.M., Glendale Police responded to the area of San Fernando Road and Salem Street following reports of a traffic collision involving injuries. When police arrived, they found a 2007 Chevrolet van that had collided with the trailer of a semi-truck that was backing into a driveway. The driver, and sole occupant of the van, was trapped in the vehicle.
The Glendale Fire Department was able to free the driver from the van, and he was transported to Los Angeles County Medical Center for treatment but died a short time later.
Neither drugs nor alcohol appear to be a factor in this collision; however, it is believed the driver of the van was not wearing a seatbelt. The exact cause is still under investigation.
