Cameraman Luis Fuerte discusses 20 years with Huell Howser

GLENDALE, CA  - The Friends of the Glendale Public Library will present Luis Fuerte, author of Louie, Take A Look At This: My Time With Huell Howser, on Saturday, July 15, 7:00 p.m., at the Downtown Central Library Auditorium, 222 East Harvard Street, Glendale 91205. The lecture is free and free 3 hour parking is available across Harvard Street at the MarketPlace parking structure with validation at the library. For more information, see the website: or call the Downtown Central Library service desk at 818-548-2021.

Huell Howser, the exuberant, hugely popular host of California’s Gold and other California public-television shows, was always exclaiming to the camera, “Louie, take a look at this!” Now, three years after Howser’s death, Louie—aka Luis Fuerte, an award-winning cameraman—shares all the great stories of their adventures exploring California, making memorable television, and showcasing Howser’s infectious love for the Golden State.

Rich with stories, humor, heart, and photos, this memoir of Fuerte’s twelve years with Howser—which is also an informal biography of the beloved TV host—will charm the countless fans of the shows they worked on together. Copies of Louie, Take A Look At This will be for sale at the event. Please use to RSVP and help the Friends of the Library determine the number of books to bring for sales and autographs.
