Glendale to Host Three FREE Summer Concert Series

Glendale, CA – The City of Glendale is hosting three FREE concert series this summer – two held by the Libraries, Arts & Culture department, and one by the Community Services & Parks department. Each series has its own range of dates and locations, but concerts are hosted on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. Residents are encouraged to pack a picnic, bring some friends, and get ready for some foot-tapping fun.

Brand Library Plaza Performance Series

Brand Library Concert Series

The City of Glendale’s Performance Series, now in its fourth year, highlights Glendale’s appreciation of music and culture while providing residents with a family-friendly way to relax and have fun. This program has been designed to support arts organizations and to bring distinguished cultural programming to Glendale. The Performance Series is supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program and the Brand Associates.

 

Dates: Fridays, June 2 – August 25
Times:
7:00p.m. – 8:00/8:30p.m.
Where:
On the outdoor plaza connecting the historic Brand Mansion and Library to the Art Galleries.

222 East – Central Library Plaza Series

Similar to the Brand Library Plaza Series, the inaugural Central Library Plaza Series will feature pop-up style performances that provide culture and fun for the residents and visitors of Glendale. This free concert series is supported by the City of Glendale and the Glendale Arts & Culture Commission, with funding from the Urban Art Program.

Dates: Saturdays, June 3 – October 7

2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m.

On the outdoor plaza in front of Central Library.

Summer Concerts in the Park

Summer Concerts in the park (small)

Summer Concerts in the Park is a popular family program that capitalizes on Glendale’s beautiful greenscape to attract over 600 people per live and lively performance. Glendale’s Community Services & Parks department gives special thanks to Super King Markets, Neptune Productions, the LA County Arts Commission, and LA County Supervisor for the 5th District, for supporting the event.
